"The time you spend with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the best time you will spend on earth. Each moment that you spend with Jesus will deepen your union with Him and make your soul everlastingly more glorious and beautiful in Heaven, and will help bring about everlasting peace on earth."
- Saint Teresa of Calcutta
St. Michael’s is privileged to offer special hours of Eucharistic Adoration every First Friday of the month in our chapel beginning after the 8:00am Mass and concluding at 6:00pm. Holy Hour begins with the Litany to the Sacred Heart of Jesus follwed by the Rosary. At 3:00p the Divine Mercy Chaplet will be prayed.
We are currently seeking parishioners who will commit to be a Guardian or a Substitute Guardian for one hour during that time every month.
What is a Guardian?
The Church's instruction includes that there should always be a sufficient number of people present for eucharistic adoration before the Blessed Sacrament exposed. Every effort should be made to ensure that there be at least two people present. There must absolutely never be periods when the Blessed Sacrament is exposed and there is no one present for adoration.
A Guardian is one who commits to a specific hour each First Friday. If there is an occasion when a Guardian cannot make it, there is a list of Substitute Guardians who the Coordinator can contact to take their place.
Please consider joining us in silent prayer during Adoration on the First Friday of every month by signing up for a permanent hour using the form below.
